Sit ‘n’ ‘b’ Fit CIC’s exercise programmes have a huge range of health benefits for those less able-bodied or for everyone in general.

For physically disabled people:

  • Contribute to a reduction in falls
  • Aid progression - from 'seat to feet' with confidence
  • Provide support and encouragement to build self-esteem

For everyone:

  • Help increase people's health by encouraging them to become more active
  • Promote companionship through exercise
  • Improve social well-being and quality of life
  • Teach people the practice of movement and its importance of in daily life

We also believe that the psychological benefits are just as important as the physical aspects. Attending our classes will make you feel good, gain confidence in your own abilities, helping to sustain independent living and avoid falls.

Our work has been endorsed and supported by North East Ambulance Service NHS Trust as a contributing factor to falls reduction.
